This course is designed to support people who are looking to create their own daily practice. These offerings are intended to help each student cultivate greater strength and conditioning, flexibility and mobility, and mindful awareness. This class will offer a variety of exercises that can be used to support daily health and promote coordination. The offerings will be movement based without a lot of talking, designed for you to move along with the video.

SMS #1 - Hips and legs, breath with the limbs — This video focuses on the hips and legs, as well as coordinating the breath with the limbs.

SMS #2 - Upper Body Explorations — Upper Body Strength and Mobility, Shoulder Axis Arc, Being in Nature, Playing with Weight.

SMS #3 - Training and Playing — The third video in a series focusing on Sensitivity, Mobility and Strength training. The first 15 minutes breaks down training exercises for arms, legs and spine working on strength and awareness. The second 1/2 of the video focuses on placing the exercises into a more complex natural environment to play with them.

SMS #4 - Releasing tension through the legs and feet using the breath — Practicing being present with the breath and the weight falling through your feet. working with asymmetrical squats and leg swings (many of these exercises come through the Taoist martial arts tradition of Qigong).

SMS #5 - Ankles and Feet

SMS #6 - Communication between the limbs through the spine — Working with coordinating the movement from below with the movement above.

SMS #7 - Using the pelvis to mobilize the arms — Playing with polyrhythmic undulations coming from the weight shifting in the feet, having the joints of the legs coordinating to power the pelvis and the spine which then moves the arms. beginning to go upside down.

SMS #8 - Rock Dancing  — I present my philosophy behind and the purpose for this series. Working with breath, coordinating arms and legs and playing with rocks. Using the spiral pathways within the body to help to facilitate graceful turns and shifts of weight. Experimenting with tossing and catching weight. Following the weight with your pelvis and much as your eyes.
